Dr. Thomas Ofner is a third generation designer and fabricator of platinum, gold and silver. It all started in 1886 with his grandfather, William Ofner, renowned goldsmith in Budapest, Hungary. His father, Bela Ofner, was apprenticed as a Silversmith and produced some of the grand holloware sets in the European tradition. Thomas received his training from his father, grandfather, as well as the University of Washington, and two other American universities to the Ph.D. level. John Marshall, world renowned silver artist, was one of his mentors. Dr. Ofner's work is found in some of the most notable galleries throughout the United States, as well as the Pike Place Market in Seattle, Washington.
